Your inbox is nobody's business.
Scroogle Mail is end-to-end encrypted email with zero-access storage, built and run in Switzerland. No ads, no tracking, no data mining. You pay for your mailbox, so your mailbox works for you - not for advertisers.
Email the way it should have stayed
Somewhere along the way, "free" email turned into a surveillance business with an inbox attached. We charge a fair price and skip the surveillance.
End-to-end encryption
Messages between Scroogle Mail users are encrypted on your device and only decrypted on theirs. Not on our servers. Not anywhere in between.
Zero-access storage
Your whole mailbox is encrypted at rest with keys derived from your password. We could not read your email if we wanted to - and we don't want to.
Based in Switzerland
Your mail lives in Swiss datacentres under some of the strictest privacy law in the world, run by a company you can look up in the Zurich commercial register. No silent handoffs to US ad-tech.
Aliases on tap
Give every shop, newsletter and signup its own address. When one starts leaking spam, you'll know exactly who sold you out - and you can bin it.
Your domain, your rules
Bring you@yourname.co.uk with you. Custom domains are included on every paid plan, with simple guided DNS setup and full DKIM, SPF and DMARC.
Switch without the faff
Our one-click importer copies your Gmail or Outlook history, folders and contacts over in the background. Forwarding keeps working while you settle in.
If email is free, you're the product
The big providers don't charge you because they don't need to. Your inbox - who you bank with, what you buy, where you travel - is the inventory. We think that's a rotten deal.
Big Tech email
- Scans your messages to build an advertising profile
- Follows you around the web with trackers and pixels
- Answers to shareholders and ad buyers, not to you
- Free until you count what it costs you in privacy
Scroogle Mail
- Zero-access encryption - we can't read your email, full stop
- Blocks tracking pixels in incoming mail by default
- Funded by subscriptions from people like you
- From £2.99 a month, VAT included, cancel anytime
How your email stays yours
1. Keys made on your device
When you create your account, your encryption keys are generated in your browser and locked with your password. The private key never leaves your device unencrypted.
2. Sealed before it's stored
Every message that arrives is encrypted to your public key before it touches disk. From that moment, only your password can open it - not our staff, not our servers.
3. Verified, not trusted
Open-source clients, published cryptography and independent audits mean you don't have to take our word for any of this. Check the code yourself, or read the audit reports.
People who've made the move
"I moved fourteen years of Gmail over in an afternoon. Should have done it a decade ago. The importer just quietly got on with it."
"Finally, an email provider whose business model I can explain to my mum in one sentence: you pay them, they keep your email private."
"One alias per shop means I found out within a week which retailer had leaked my address. Binned that alias, made a fresh one, done."
Fair prices. No free tier. No catch.
We don't do a free plan, on principle: if we didn't charge, we'd have to make money from your data instead. Every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
